Noodle Woodle is a conceptual restaurant brand and website package developed by Maxtana Creative. Originally imagined as a nationwide noodle restaurant directory, the project evolved into a complete restaurant branding and website solution designed to help restaurant owners launch quickly with a polished, modern digital presence.
The Challenge
The project began with an ambitious idea: create a directory platform that would catalog noodle restaurants across the United States, functioning as a niche discovery tool similar to Google Maps, but focused entirely on noodle shops and ramen restaurants.
As development planning progressed, it became clear that the directory model introduced significant challenges around content management, scale, data acquisition, and long-term platform maintenance. Rather than continue pursuing a product that would require extensive operational overhead before becoming viable, I suggested a strategic pivot.
Instead of building a nationwide directory, I proposed transforming the concept into a turnkey restaurant website package that could be licensed or customized for individual restaurant owners. This approach preserved the playful noodle-focused branding while creating a more practical and marketable product.
The goal became creating a restaurant website experience that felt modern, personality-driven, and visually memorable while remaining flexible enough to adapt for future restaurant clients.
The Solution
I developed Noodle Woodle as a fully realized restaurant brand complete with visual identity, UX strategy, responsive website design, and scalable development architecture.
The branding was designed from the ground up to feel playful, energetic, and approachable while still supporting a polished dining experience. The visual direction combines bold typography, warm colors, expressive layouts, and high-impact food photography inspired by modern Pacific Northwest restaurant culture.
From a UX perspective, the website was structured to drive in-person visits while also supporting online ordering integrations. The homepage focuses heavily on atmosphere, social proof, featured dishes, and clear calls-to-action that encourage users to visit the restaurant location.
The design system and page architecture were intentionally created as a reusable framework. Future restaurant clients could either launch the package largely as-is or use it as a starting point for a more customized brand experience.
The project was designed and prototyped in Figma before being developed in WordPress using Elementor, allowing for flexible content management and future scalability. The system is also prepared for future Shopify, WooCommerce, or other eCommerce integrations depending on the restaurant’s operational needs.
